360 Desktop launches into 'Public Beta'

Happy 4th of July, 2008

A friend of mine back in Australia, Evan Jones (no relation... although my brothers name is Evan Jones) the CEO of a new Desktop application for Windows called 360 Desktop, has just launched into public beta with a July 4th special.

For more on 360 Desktop, this is from their website...

360desktop is a free and safe software download, that transforms your standard Windows desktop into a 360-degree panoramic workspace, giving you many times more desktop space. 360desktop is the convergence of the web and the desktop. If you “get” what they mean by Web 2.0, you can think of us as Desktop 2.0.

Despite the beta only going live in the last 24 hours... thousands are already being downloaded per hour.

Congratulations Evan... looks like you have a hit on your hands.
